Bank of the West

Icon Guide

Bank of the West not only required a new icon library but also a strategy aligned with the evolving brand identity and design system. I conducted thorough research, developed multiple iterations, and collaborated with design leaders and team members. This effort culminated in the creation of an Icon Guide, ensuring consistent icon usage in line with the brand and facilitating ease of use for future designers.

How-to Video Series for Youtube

The call centers at Bank of the West were getting an influx of calls regarding mobile and online banking. Our team was tasked with taking the most common questions and create a series of videos that guide a user through frequently asked questions. I used simple transitions, carefully timed text, subtle motion design, and a cursor that was easy to follow.

Illustrations/3D concepts

Although no Illustration style had been built, there were moments of opportunity when I was able to create visuals that felt recognizable to the current brand style. Large, flowing shapes frame a negative space that invites bold typographic layouts. Subtle gradients add depth, easing the viewing experience.

AIDS/LifeCycle Full Uniform

As a sponser to one of the the most well know AIDS benefits rides from San Francisco to Los Angeles, Bank of the West’s Brand needed to be loud and proud. Finding inspiration from classic cycling jersey’s, the final design had bold racing stripes, a majestic mountain range seemlessly integrated into the chest and back panels with clear brand logo readability from all angles.
